This Owl is Funny.

How can you disbute this flawless logic?! The fact is... you can't.

Thelonius is Awesome.

I have never lived with a cat before. But in all my wildest dreams, I could not have imagined that living with a cat would be anything like this.

If I had to describe Thelonious in one word, that word would be needybasementcatwithavoiceimmodulationproblem, but for short I'll just call him Needy.

He NEEDS to be petted constantly. He NEEDS to break into my room when I clearly don't want him in it. He NEEDS to eat all my food. He NEEDS to trip me everytime I take a step. He NEEDS to follow me into the bathroom anytime I try to use it. He NEEDS to cry at the top of his little cat lungs morning, day, and night for no reason whatsoever except for the fact that he NEEDS attention.

But he is still so damn cute. <3

2birds1blog is Funny.

This is hands-down my favorite blog. Read some of the posts under 'Fan Favorites' and you'll see why.

Laura is Awesome.

Back in the days when Laura, Joan, and I lived together in our deluxe apartment in the sky, we had a magical little thing called cable.  Laura and I would watch the Jersey Shore, Intervention, and Hoarders. It was glorious. So now, whenever I see a messy guido with a drug problem I think of her. I also think of her when I smell the subway [because she makes fun of me for liking that smell].  And in a testament to the fact that we have the same [awesome] sense of humor, she and I both love 2birds1blog and understand the enigmatic phrase “Sorr about the bag!” Laura is an awesome HLC card carrying redhead and Brooklyn is lucky to have her!

Jessica's "Daily Affirmation" is Funny.

Love this! My favorite part is her little dance at 0:38.

Brian is Awesome.

If I had to choose one word to say “Totally – Awesome – Bestie – Who – I – Tell – Everything – To – And – Hi-Five – Every – Time – I – See – Him – Because – That’s – How – We – Roll” that word would be Brian. Brian was my office-mate for a year and a half.  He totally gets me.  We have the same sense of humor and he’ll play “Maggie May” for me if I ask nicely and repeatedly.  The best thing about Brian is that when I find myself knee-deep in some ridiculous life circumstances (which I often do), he will make fun of me.  This is the key to our relationship. Most people would “listen” and “try to make me feel better” and “give me valuable advice” and other stupid things like that, but Brian is different.  He helps me take my life less seriously and makes me laugh and that’s why he’s my BFFAEFR. Hyperbole and a Half is Funny.

My friend posted a link to this blog on Facebook.  Since that time, I have been reading it and laughing hysterically. You should do the same.

Here's a post about making wishes that Corry and I felt we particularly related to...

My Sister Brooke is Awesome.

When I think of Brooke I think of sunshine and laughter. Seriously… which is weird now that I think of it because I doubt she sees herself that way, but that’s how I see her. I think of sunshine because she is beautiful and blonde and tan and lives in Florida and wears sandals all year long.  I think of laughter because she makes me laugh- mostly at my own expense AND she snorts when she laughs which makes me laugh even harder. It’s infectious.  I love when I get the chance to see her. I only wish it were more often. UPDATE: SHE IS COMING HERE NEXT WEEK TO HANG OUT WITH ME!!!!!!

My Sister Corry is Awesome.

There is no one in this world that gets me quite like Corry does. We have a mutual obsession with lists and personal productivity and self-helpy nonsense. She’s the only person I can call and say “Want to come over this weekend and work on my vision board with me? I am trying to find the perfect image to represent my goal of painlessly completing my household chores within a 30 minute time frame.” And then she’ll drive down from Jersey and we’ll spend the weekend crossing things off our lists and talking about how to achieve a happy and fulfilled life by buying the perfect day planner. It’s truly awesome.

My Mom is Awesome.

There are many words to describe my mother: caring, strong, creative, loving, stylish, the list goes on. But my favorite character trait of hers is the fact that she's silly, very silly... very very silly. When I was growing up my mom had countless silly sayings and songs. It was fun and it made me laugh- and that, my dear friend, is what this blog is all about.

[Recent case in point] Would a serious woman not only comply with her daughter's asinine request to pose for a moose ears picture on her wedding day but then continue to round up all the guests at her reception for a group shot? No, a serious person would not do that- but a silly person would and my mom did.

Love ya, Mom!
